AISM established in 2008 after research into industry standards in Security & Investigation revealed a perceived shortfall of compliant work practices. Prior to launching AISM, extensive research, which included international practices, was conducted to identify and adopt best work practices. AISM was formed to provide a cost effective, professional, timely and transparent service provider.

Our major point of difference is that we DO NOT subcontract our Man power. Our staff is our responsibility which ensures operational transparency, consistency and a professional timely service.

All AISM personnel operate within the legal scope of relevant industries to ensure that our client's corporate image is maintained. Founder and Principle

The founder of Australian Investigation Security Management (AISM) is Peter Mercouris who has within six (6) years built the company up from a single person operation to a National Service provider.

Peter's area of knowledge into the Investigation & Security Industry has crossed over from a very successful 18 year career with NSW Police Force where he attained the rank of Detective Sergeant.

Peter’s experience includes managing significant investigations ranging from theft and complex frauds through to homicides. He has received a NSW Police Citation for the work he undertook during the Ivan Milat backpacker investigation, and in more recent time, a Commissioner’s Citation for works in Task Force Gain which was later known as Middle Eastern Crime Squad. The Rotary Club acknowledge Peter with a citation for his work as a Team Leader in the Middle East Organised Crime Squad in relation to the investigation of a major South Western Sydney crime gang that was responsible for murders, shootings, and major drug distribution.

Peter is a tactical, strategic and operational specialist. His expertise is in the details of reports and compliance issues relating to our clients and their businesses. Furthermore, Peter was an Operational Safety & Tactics and a Weapons Instructor for the NSW Police.

Before unveiling AISM Peter meticulously researched relevant Industries, Legislations and Compliances. His development methods into creating AISM included extensive overseas travel, assessments of Local & International styles and significant experiences within the NSW Police Force.

What makes Peter exceptional to the Investigation and Security Industry is his passion for AISM success, and his hands on approach. He acknowledges all staff, clients and venues with professional respect and attention.

Peter has been personally acknowledged as a Local Business Awards for outstanding Businessmen of the year, the Western Sydney Business Awards (WSABE), and Australian Business Awards for Entrepreneur of the Year, whilst the company has received continued recognition for Excellence in Business Services since 2010.
